TG-Probe Prototyping Accessory
The TG-Probe is a handy little accessory card that plugs directly into a TG-540 Trajectory Generator node or an ISC-1700 Integrated Servo Controller node for the purpose of emulating machine inputs that are not yet connected. For example, let’s say you want to test a system that has a vacuum pickup head on it. The mechanics are ready, but you don’t have a vacuum hookup yet. But the code is written such that the axis has to wait for the vacuum sensor to detect vacuum. Instead of stubbing out the sensor test code, you can write your test code as it needs to be and use the TG-Probe as an emulated vacuum sensor. Similarly, code that would normally actuate a solenoid can light a TG-Probe LED in the absence of the solenoid. The TG-Probe can be used for these functions as well as many others. It’s just one more example of Teknic’s commitment to making the machine development process as fast and easy as possible.
